We work to prevent drowning and reduce water-related injuries, everyday.
The Lifesaving Society is a National, non-profit, voluntary organization that has been training swimmers to be lifesavers and lifeguards since 1908. We are dedicated to the prevention of water-related incidents and the saving of life in aquatic environments across Canada. We are a member of the RLSS Commonwealth Organization and the Canadian representative to the International Life Saving Federation.
The society’s mission is to prevent drownings and water related injuries for Canadians by public education and program education.
